This past September I was at the ACFW Conference in Dallas, and my publisher—HarperCollins Christian Fiction—gave us a couple of books that they had published. One of the gifts was The Magnolia Story by Chip and Joanna Gaines. As I’ve mentioned before, sometimes I don’t get a complete book read by the time this monthly newsletter goes out. It depends where I’m at with my own publishing schedule. But I started The Magnolia Story, and if you are fans of this TV couple on HGTV’s Fixer Upper, you might want to give it a try. I’m only a short ways into the story, but I love the funny and clever style of the writing. Also, worth a mention, this book has 4,814 reviews and is maintaining a 4.9 (out of 5) rating. You don’t see many books holding steady at that ranking.
